The Ketogenic Diet: An Effective Medical Therapy With Side Effects

Attention is directed to the fact that the ketogenic diet is much less toxic than some of the medications currently used in the treatment of epilepsy. (Dr Samuel Livingston, 1972) 1

The ketogenic diet... is an effective and safe medical treatment for epilepsy, but it must be judiciously applied and carefully monitored. (Drs Doug R. Nordli and Daryl C. DeVivo, 2001)2
