Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics Section of Genetics, Department of Pediatrics University of Manitoba Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada We describe a case of a de novo terminal deletion of the long arm of chromosome 10 with the novel feature of congenital indifference to pain in a 2-year 10-month-old boy. Relative indifference to pain defined by a lack of emotional response to pain has not been described previously in association with the terminal deletion of the long arm of chromosome 10.
